Hello,
I’m Natalie and I am a very proud mum to a very lively 18 month old daughter and a 3 year old black Labrador called Milo. I am very excited to bring these award winning story and sensory baby classes to Blackburn, Preston and the Ribble Valley. With over 17 years experience as a dedicated and ambitious teacher and English subject coordinator in both Mainstream and Special School settings. I have a vast range of experience of child development and sensory storytelling across all phases of Education including working with children with: Physical Motor Learning Difficulties, Autism and Specific Learning Difficulties such as Downs Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I am extremely passionate about books and Reading as I have seen first hand the joy in a child’s eyes when they experience a new story for the first time. A simple story and a few props can unlock the potential in EVERY child regardless of age or ability.
I joined the Adventure Babies team in June 2018 whilst on maternity leave. I attended many baby classes with my daughter and I loved watching her eyes light up as she experienced a sensory prop for the first time. I love teaching but I decided that I needed a new career path that would allow me to balance my love of delivering sensory stories with caring for my daughter and hey presto the Blackburn franchise was born!
I feel honoured to have the opportunity to help make positive memories for both you and your baby through these amazing sensory stories. I aim to develop a relaxed and nurturing environment where your baby can learn to develop a love of books and reading. Adventure Babies isn’t just for babies though but is lots of fun for grown ups too especially seeing that you don’t have to clean up the mess afterwards!
