To celebrate World Book Day 2026 we are bringing a FREE World Book Day taster to you on Wednesday 4th March! What better way to share the joy of reading, books, authors and storytellers than joining us for a wonderful story session within the amazing Owl Tree Children’s Café.
Join us for a free 30 minute session as we bring a brilliant book to life through interactive storytelling, sensory props, puppets, songs and much more! Our session will be held within the café setting and it’s a perfect opportunity to try our classes and see what we do!Â
We run classes every Tuesday in the hall space within the same building as the Owl Tree Children’s Café and you can find out about booking our new term of classes here.
Our sessions are carefully planned to bring brilliant books to life for your little one:
themed sensory and messy play beautiful handmade parachutes with sensory lights time to explore and play with your little one time to meet and chat to other parents supports a love of reading from a very early ageAll of this fun supports language and communication development whilst also stimulating all of the senses to build and strengthen brain connections.
Venue?
The Gosforth Sensory Storytelling classes are at Coxlodge Methodist Church, Kenton Road, NE3 4PA. It has a free carpark, easily accessible baby changing facilities, space for pushchairs and visitors can benefit from using the Owl Tree Children’s Cafe alongside our classes by either booking a full session, or enjoying a shorter reduced price session (spaces permitting)

Who for?
Our classes are separated by developmental stage and you are welcome to book the most suitable one for your child.
Tiny Adventurers – for the youngest, non-mobile babies. They will be lying down or sitting rather than crawling.
Mini Adventures – for more active babies who are on the move including crawling, walking and up to age 3.
