From the Founder: The Original Sensory Storytelling Classes Since 2013
When I started Adventure Babies back in 2013, I didn’t have a business plan, a franchise model, or a vision of being “the biggest.”
What I had was a deep love of stories, a background in early years development, and a very strong feeling that baby classes could be more meaningful than they often were.
I wanted to create something I couldn’t find anywhere else.
It Started With a Simple Question
What if baby classes weren’t about keeping babies busy…
but about truly meeting them where they are?
Back then, there were plenty of baby classes around — but very few that slowed things down. Very few that trusted babies to engage in their own way. Almost none combined storytelling, sensory play and child development in a way that felt calm, intentional and genuinely magical.
So Adventure Babies began quietly, carefully, and with a lot of heart.

The Original Sensory Storytelling Classes (By Design, Not Accident)
From the very beginning, our classes were built around sensory storytelling — the kind that is carefully designed, development-led and immersive. These original sensory storytelling classes weren’t created by following trends, but by putting babies’ developing brains first.
Every element had a purpose:
- Stories chosen for rhythm, repetition and emotional safety
- Sensory resources selected to support curiosity without overwhelm
- A pace that allowed babies time to notice, process and respond
Over the years, others have been inspired to try similar approaches — but Adventure Babies has been doing this thoughtfully, intentionally, and development-led, since 2013.
Quality Has Always Mattered to Us
One thing I’ve never been willing to compromise on is quality.
Our resources aren’t flashy for the sake of it. They’re carefully sourced, beautifully made, and chosen because they add to the story — not distract from it.
The same goes for our class leaders.
Adventure Babies isn’t run by people simply following a script. Our classes are delivered by highly trained baby development experts who understand why each activity matters, how babies learn, and how to adapt in the moment to the babies in the room.
That knowledge changes everything.
It’s what allows our classes to feel calm but engaging. Creative but grounded. Magical, yet deeply reassuring.
Creativity With Intention
Creativity has always been at the heart of Adventure Babies — but never just for show.
Every story, theme and sensory experience is designed with baby development in mind. We think carefully about:
- How babies experience sound and language
- How visual contrast supports focus
- How texture and movement build neural connections
- How repetition builds confidence
That’s why no two classes feel rushed or chaotic. Babies aren’t expected to perform, clap, or “join in.” They’re invited to explore — and that invitation is where the magic happens.
Why Longevity Matters
Running baby classes since 2013 has taught me a lot.
It’s taught me that trends come and go — but babies’ needs don’t.
It’s taught me that parents don’t want louder or busier — they want reassurance.
And it’s taught me that when something is built on expertise, creativity and care, it stands the test of time.
Adventure Babies has grown steadily over the years not because we chase attention, but because parents talk to other parents. They come once, feel the difference, and come back.
That’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
Still Led by the Same Values
Even now, after more than a decade, the heart of Adventure Babies hasn’t changed.
We still believe:
- Babies deserve calm, respectful experiences
- Parents deserve to feel confident and supported
- Stories are powerful from the very beginning
- Quality and intention matter more than hype
